New Delhi: India vs Pakistan matches have become restricted to international events for a long time, thus the ICC events have become that much more interesting. India has faced Pakistan seven times in World Cup matches and has won all of them.

India and Pakistan are in the same group in the first stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and will face each other on 24 October 2021.

The T20 World Cup is scheduled to start from October 17 this year in the UAE and all eyes will be on the India vs Pakistan match. Cricket fans of both countries are excited about this match after a long time.

Unlike in the early 2000s, when 'rivalries' between Shoaib Akhtar and Virender Sehwag, would become poignant topics, the 2010s were more cordial, where Virat Kohli gives away his bat to Mohammed Amir.

Notably, in the wake of the Coronavirus situation in India, T20 World Cup was shifted to UAE and Oman. The tournament will be held across four venues - Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Oman, from October 17 to November 14.

There are two groups in Super 12, in which six teams have been kept. Group-2 comprises India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, and the other two qualifiers from Round 1. Group-1 comprises England, Australia, South Africa, West Indies.

The match is taking place, at a time when the ceasefire agreement on the border between the armies of India and Pakistan is being strictly followed.
