Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav retained his second position while Shreyas Iyer moved up six places to 19th in the latest ICC T20 rankings released on Wednesday. Among the bowlers, Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep made massive strides in the rankings while senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was at ninth spot.
Suryakumar Yadav is the best-placed Indian batsman with 805 points in the batting list headed by Pakistan's Babar Azam. Babar now holds a lead of 13 rating points ahead of the eagerly awaited meeting between India and Pakistan at the Asia Cup in Dubai later this month.
Iyer, who had hit a 40-ball 64 in the final T20 after a subdued show in the first four matches of the recently-concluded series against West Indies, has 578 points.
Pant finished the series as the second leading run-scorer on 115 runs and the left-hander has jumped seven places to 59th.
Young spinner Ravi Bishnoi, who was India's leading wicket-taker during the series with eight scalps, helped him jump 50 places to 44th overall on the list for bowlers.
Left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav, who had a three-wicket haul in the last game, leaped 58 places to 87th.
However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar dropped a spot to 9th despite having had a good outing in the West Indies. Avesh Khan, Axar Patel were also big movers in the rankings.
South Africa's recent 2-0 series triumph over Ireland away from home also saw a host of their players being rewarded. South Africa's Reeza Hendricks was the main gainer in the T20 rankings, moving up to 13th position with knocks of 74 and 42 in the series against Ireland.
Spinner Keshav Maharaj moved up 10 spots to 18th on the bowler rankings, while South Africa team-mate Dwaine Pretorius jumped seven places to 26th on the list for all-rounders.
Australia's Josh Hazlewood and Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi continue to top the chart as the best bowler and all-rounder respectively.
