Even though Pakistan registered wins in the first two matches of their ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 campaign against Netherlands and Sri Lanka, the first time they were up against a serious title contender against India, they were taken to the cleaners, going on to lose the match by 7 wickets and close to 20 overs remaining. And in their very next game, they find themselves in a tricky situiation against Australia.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl first at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the Men in Green would have ideally wanted to get early wickets and exert some pressure on the opposition. However, that wasn't to be as Australia's openers David Warner and Mitchell Marsh had other ideas. They did play their strokes cautiously until there was an assitance for the new ball bowlers but once there was no help for the pacers and the batters had their eyes in, they went vintage mode.

On the receiving end was Haris Rauf who was welcomed by a 24-run over by the Aussie openers, his most expensive over in ODIs. While Warner started with a four and a six off the first two balls from the bat of Warner, there was a single, a wide followed by three successive fours from Marsh to end the over. Following his expensive over, netizens have flooded social media with memes with most users claiming that Rauf hasn't been the same bowler even since he was hit for that iconic six at the MCG by Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad earlier this World Cup.
