The India women's cricket team, a seven-time Asia Cup champion, is set to face arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening match of the tournament on July 19 in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.


Women's T20 Asia Cup will see teams from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Malaysia, and Thailand competing. These eight teams have been divided into two groups for the tournament.

The Indian women's team squad and the Pakistan women's team for T20 Asia Cup have already been announced. Harmanpreet Kaur has been appointed as the captain while Smriti Mandhana will be her deputy. Pakistan will be captained by veteran Nida Dar.

According to a press release from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), for all matches of women's Asia Cup T20, including IND vs PAK Asia Cup T20 match, fans will be granted free entry into the stadiums. This allows fans to enjoy all the matches of Women's T20 Asia Cup in person at ZERO cost.


 Women's Asia Cup 2024 will feature 15 matches, all hosted at Sri Lanka's Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla. The tournament will include two semifinals and the final.


The eight teams in Women's Asia Cup 2024 have been divided into two groups of four. India women's cricket team is in Group A, along with Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, and Nepal. Group B consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand. The final match of the tournament is scheduled for July 28.
