Dussehra, also referred to as Vijayadashami, is one of the most widely celebrated Hindu festivals in India, representing the victory of good over evil. In 2024, Dussehra is being observed on October 12 (Saturday), marking the conclusion of the nine-day Navratri festival. Along with wishes coming from notable personalities from various fields, members of the Indian cricket fraternity also took to social media on Saturday to extend Dussehra wishes.

For the unversed, Dussehra brings together Hindus worldwide to celebrate Lord Rama’s triumph over the demon king Ravana, as well as Goddess Durga’s victory over the buffalo demon Mahishasura.
