While India registered a superb win over Sri Lanka in their Super Four fixture of Asia Cup 2023 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on September 12 (Tuesday) in a match that swung both ways before Rohit Sharma & Co. came out on top by 41 runs, the post match visuals from the stands at the stadium were not quite encouraging. Fans of both the cricket loving nations reportedly started a fight against each other after the match. Video of the said incident has also gone viral on social media.
The clip shows a spectator attacking another fan at the venue who also started fighting in response to the blows. A lady police officer can also be seen having a word with a small group of fans. The two fans who were at the central of the fight had to be separated by others present at the venue as things started to get heated up. It is still not clear though as to how the spat started and what triggered it in the first place.

As far as cricketing action in Asia Cup 2023 is concerned, a win over Sri Lanka has sealed India's berth in the final and knocked Bangladesh out of contention. That made the match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan a virtual semifinal. The winner of the match will join India in the summit clash.
In case, the match gets washed out due to rain, Sri Lanka will forge ahead to play in the final. This is because they have a much better net run rate than Pakistan who suffered a heavy 228-run defeat to India in their Super Four clash. The final of Asia Cup 2023 is set to be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
