Road Safety World Series T20: India Legends defeated West Indies Legends in a semi-final that was dominated by some brilliant hitting by the batsmen of both the teams. What caught everybody’s attention was a six that was hit by none other than the master Sachin Tendulkar. It was a hook shot that Sachin played against the fast-bowler Tino Best. That shot brought back memories of India vs England match of 2003 World Cup when Sachin had hooked Caddick for a six in a similar style.

Sachin Tendulkar scored 65 runs of 42 balls which included six 4s and three 6s. It appeared as if Sachin never stopped playing the game. He played some really great cricketing shots, but nothing matched the hook that he played of Tino Best’s bowling. Watch the video of the hook shot and also of the shot which Sachin played in 2003 of Andy Caddick’s bowling:

The semi-final was far from over, though, even after India Legends scoring 218 runs in the first innings. West Indies Legends started off brilliantly and continued to play at more than 10 runs per over till the 17th over, but things changed when Brian Lara got out after making a brilliant 46 of 28 balls. India Legends won the match and reached the final. But there’s a lot that can be done better in the bowling department.

On the batting side, things look fine. Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Sachin Tendulkar and Sehwag all in good form raises hopes for India Legends. The final of the Road Safety World Series T20 will be played on 21 March 2021.
