Star India batter Virat Kohli is currently on a short break from cricket. While he was part of the ODI series against New Zealand, he has been rested from the T20Is. Kohli decided to use this time to take a spiritual timeout and was spotted at an Ashram in Rishikesh along with his wife Anushka Sharma.

This isn't the first time that Kohli has been seen in an Ashram as before his visit to the Swami Dayanand Ashram in Rishikesh, he had was also spotted at the the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram Kainchi Dham near Nainital. Amid pictures of him offering prayers on social media, an old video of the former India skipper has resurfaced in which Kohli asks: "Do I look the Pooja-Paath types?"

Here is the video:

The video is actually a 7-year-old clip and dates back to a press conference at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2016. Before a must-win game for India against Australia, a reported had quizzed Kohli if he believes in "pooja-paath" to keep calm during a tensed situation. His statement had come in response to this query.

Kohli set to return to cricketing action in Border-Gavaskar Trophy

The 34-year-old will be back in action for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as India host Australia for four Test matches. Even though the run-machine is back to his best in limited-overs cricket, his struggles haven't diminished in the longest form of the game where he last scored a hundred in 2019.

With the result of the Test series against Australia also set to decide the finalists of the World Test Championship 2021-23, Kohli's form is going to be critical for the Men in Blue. The first of the four Tests will be played from February 9-13 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. The remaining Tests are scheduled to be played in Delhi, Dharamshala and Ahmedabad respectively.
