The biggest question which seems to engulf Indian cricketing landscape after the conclusion of the 2019 ICC World Cup has been the future of MS Dhoni in the Men in Blue dressing room. There have been all kinds of speculations over the continuity of one of India's greatest heroes and even talks being rife about his retirement from top flight cricket .

While the former Indian skipper took a break after the ICC World Cup and missed the ODIs and T20Is against Windies to serve the Indian Army in the Kashmir Valley , there is a strong  likelihood of him extending his vacation from international arena.

After being not picked for the 3-match T20 series against South Africa, cricket fans would need to wait a little longer to see Dhoni don the Indian uniform as he has decided to give the upcoming Bangladesh T20Is a miss, a report seems to indicate.

It means that Dhoni's short hiatus could lead to a slightly longer oblivion as he is set to miss more action. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the break is set to extend until November, which means that he won’t be a part of the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh at home.

The series gets underway on Sunday, November 3 with the opening match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Rajkot and Nagpur are the other venues for the series.

The earliest now one might see Dhoni back is in the Men in Blue’s ODI and T20I series versus the Caribbean team, starting December 6. If not, then one has to wait for the series versus Zimbabwe and Australia from January 5 to 19 for Dhoni to make his comeback.
