New Delhi: India left-out Suresh Raina is sweating hard to earn his place back in the Indian national team and with the selectors set announces India’s ODI squad for Sri Lanka series on Sunday, the Southpaw remains hopeful for a chance.
The 30-year-old joined former skipper MS Dhoni and other regular members of India’s limited over team at the national Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore for a practice session on Friday. His presence in the camp has led to many questions but here is the million dollar question- Is he on the verge of making a comeback into the Indian side?
Raina took to Twitter to express his happiness about training with MS DHONI, Raina’s post read: “A well spent day at #NCA! Always so much to learn from @msdhoni and be inspired 💪 #NCA #Bangalore #inspiring
Although, he featured in T20 series against England in February 2017 but played his last game for India in ODI’s all the way back in 2015 during South Africa’s tour of India.
The left-arm batsman faced criticism in the past over his fitness and was omitted by the BCCI from central contracts for being a ‘family man’.
