New Delhi: Barbados Tridents hit-man Kieron pollard wreaked havoc as he smashed 83 runs in just 35 deliveries to hand St. Lucia Stars their consecutive third defeat of the tournament.
Pollard fired 5 fours and 6 sixes to take Tridents to 196 at the Darren Sammy stadium on Friday as continued on his superb form in the 5th edition of Caribbean Premier League.
Chasing 197 from 20 overs, Lucia suffered a batting collapse and lost half of their side for 55 runs. Though, Skipper Darren Sammy lifted the spirits with a brilliant knock of 60 runs of just 29 deliveries and smashing the fastest half ton of CPL 2017 in 23 balls but rain dashed all hopes of any incredible comeback.
St. Lucia Stars managed to reach 129 from 15.1 overs and eventually losing the encounter by 21 runs via D/L method.
