New Delhi: Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is all set to lead the Jharkhand team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Jharkhand will play their first match against Karnataka on 25th February.

Dhoni reached Kolkata by train after a long gap of 13 years. It wasn't like Shahrukh Khan who boarded a train few days back to promote his film. His train journey was in search for his roots. It is going back to the basics.

Sharp at 7 in the morning Howrah Hathia express entered the howrah station platform number 17. A few people present there were taken to surprise as the former Indian captain came out of the coach number A1.

The 36-year-old was recently sacked as the captain of Rising Pune Supergiants and was replaced by Australian Steve Smith.

Asked about his sacking as RPS captain, Dhoni said, “life is not a 3 hour long movie and I have lot of things to prove in IPL and Champions Trophy".

MS Dhoni is one of the most successful captains in Indian cricket history. He led India to 3 major ICC trophies which includes 2011 World Cup, 2007 T20 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy. The ranchi born cricketer stepped down as the captain of India’s limited over format in January.
