The India vs England series so far has been a hot-headed affair. Not just on the field, but off the field as well. A lot of things are being said, about Virat Kohli and his men by the English pundits. On the contrary, former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has voiced out in support of Kohli stating that he will not be affected by it.

On-field, England bowlers were relentlessly bowling bodyline bouncers towards Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. There was a heated exchange of words between Bumrah and Anderson. Not just that, in the first innings, even Mohammed Siraj got involved in a spat with English batsmen. In fact, Virat Kohli was also heard taking a dig at James Anderson. Kohli was heard saying, "Chirp chirp chirp. This is what old age makes you do."

Off the field, the English media and some cricket pundits have been making statements about Virat Kohli. So much that former England player Nick Compton called Kohli, "most foul-mouthed individual". Danish Kaneria shielded Kohli and said that he will not be affected by such statements.

"England, through social media and media, are trying to down the other team by talking negatively. This was the same when we used to play against them. They couldn't do anything on the ground so would try and bring something negative to take the mental level of opposition down. But I don't think Virat Kohli and his men will be affected by these statements. Instead, it will increase further," Danish Kaneria said on his Youtube channel. (as quoted by Sportskeeda)

Kaneria spoke about Kohli's resilience as a player. "Virat Kohli's aggression was superb. He leads the way in the field and even his bowling changes were great. So I don't think such things will affect him and his team or put them under pressure," Kaneria added in his statement.
