The Big Bash League (BBL), Australia's version of the IPL, witnessed a shocking match on Friday as the Sydney Thunder were bowled out for just 15 runs against Adelaide Strikers. Chasing 140 runs at the Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney Thunder, led by Jason Sangha, were bowled out for 15 in 5.5 overs.

The previous lowest score in the competition was 57 runs. In T20 history, the lowest total was recorded when Turkey was bowled out for 21 against the Czech Republic in August 2019 in Ilfov County.

After losing the toss and sent to field, the Thunder looked in control and restricted the Strikers to 9-139. Colin de Grandhomme and Chris Lynn each scored 36 and 33 runs respectively.

After that, mayhem followed as they were bowled out in 35 balls.

Henry Thornton (5-3) and Wes Agar (4-6) ran riot as the Thunder limped to 6-9 in the powerplay, and were all out just eleven balls later. With 15 dot balls, Thornton finished with figures of 2.5-1-3-5  while Agar finished with 2-0-6-4.

The rapid nature of Thunder's collapse saw Adelaide's two marquee and senior bowlers Peter Siddle and Rashid Khan not even needing to bowl.
