Bangladesh and Afghanistan were all set to lock horns in the T20I tri-series final in Dhaka but continuous showers forced both the teams to share the trophy. The game was abandoned without a single ball being bowled, on Tuesday. Since there was no reserve day in place, both teams ended up sharing the title.

The non-stop drizzling also didn’t let the toss to happen. At around 8.50 PM local time, the rain slowed down a bit, but by then it was quite clear that the groundsmen didn't have enough time in their hands to get the ground match ready before the cut-off time of 9.40 PM. Ultimately, the umpires were left with no other option than to call off the game.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan qualified for the final on the back of winning three and two games respectively in the round-robin phase of the tournament.
