New Delhi: World Cup winning Indian cricketer and current Delhi Daredevils skipper Zaheer Khan announced his engagement to Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge on Monday. The veteran cricketer took to Twitter to share the news.

The 38-year-old wrote, “Never laugh at your wife's choices. You are one of them!!!  Partners for life”

The rumours of an alleged relationship between Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge were doing rounds on the internet with the two have making many appearances together and were also spotted together at Yuvraj and Hazel Keech’s wedding ceremony which had raised many eyebrows and now the left arm bowler has decided to put an end to it.

Soon after Zaheer announced his engagement to Sagarika, wishes poured in for the couple from the cricketing fraternity and entertainment world.

India coach Anil Kumble was among the one to congratulate the duo but he messed up with his tweet as he tagged a wrong Sagarika with Zaheer. Funnily, it was popular Indian journalist Sagarika Ghosh who Kumble ended up tagging.

It was not only Anil Kumble but Zaheer’s own franchise Delhi daredevils who committed a gaffe by tagging Sagarika Ghosh instead of Sagarika Ghatge.

Both were  quick to realize the mistake and immediately deleted their tweets but the damage was done and those tweets were doing rounds on the internet.
