The 21-year-old broke Amol Muzumdar’s 25-year-old record of highest score by a debutant in the Ranji Trophy.
After Madhya Pradesh declared the innings on 562/4, Rohera finished unbeaten on 267.
After bowling Hyderabad out for a very low score of 124 runs, Madhya Pradesh got to 539/4 as their opening batsman was batting on 255 overnight Friday.
The 21-year-old opener was able to achieve the record early on Saturday.
