Champions League Week At A Glance
1. Sporting CP VS Manchester City (0-5)
This game was over before the first half ended as Manchester City put four goals behind the net. Mahrez, Silva, Foden and Sterling were the goal scorers for City. The English champions looks well and through to the next round.
2. PSG vs Real Madrid (1-0)
A match that was undecided till the 94th minute. It was only when Mbappe scored a worldie to put Paris ahead of Madrid before the second round. Messi missed a penalty in this match. The next leg will be played in Santiago Bernabeu and no one can count Real Madrid out despite falling a goal behind.
3. Salzburg vs Bayern (1-1)
Salzburg would feel disappointed after the full-time whistle as they were ahead for 89 minutes owing to a goal by Adamu. They played well defensively, but Muller's excellent pass and Coman's finish ended the game in a 1-1 draw. Although Bayern has a upper hand, they can't guarantee a win from here, just yet.
4. Inter Milan vs Liverpool (0-2)
A spirited Inter Milan side defended well for 73 minutes, but let the opposition score in the final quarter of the game. Firmino and Salah, the usual suspects, scored yet again for Liverpool. The second leg will be interesting, but Liverpool has a two-goal advantage that is difficult to breach.
The second leg of the above matches will be played on 9 and 10 March 2022.
