The dreaded Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc on Indian cricket team's star speedster Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Bhubaneswar Kumar and his wife Nupur are exhibiting Covid-like symptoms and have given their samples for Coronavirus test, their report is yet to come. Bhuvneshwar testing positive for Coronavirus will be a big shocker for team India as the senior speedster is considered almost certain to be selected for India's tour of Sri Lanka.


According to a news report published in Network18, both Bhuvneshwar and his wife Nupur are currently under quarantine at their home in Meerut. A few days ago, Bhuvneshwar Kumar's Covid-19 positive mother was admitted to the hospital after she had difficulty in breathing. Fortunately, her health has now improved.

Recently, Bhuvneshwar Kumar's father Kiran Pal Singh passed away at his Meerut residence after battling liver infection for last eight months. Singh is now survived by his wife Indresh Devi and son and daughter Bhuvneshwar and Rekha.


Bhuvneshwar Kumar's name was one of the most prominent players who were not selected in the 20-man squad for India's tour of England. Both Men's and women's national squads will leave for a more than three-month long tour of England on June 2. The Men's team will play the final match of the World Test Championship against New Zealand and after that the team has to play a five-match Test series against England.


In the IPL 2021, Bhuvneshwar Kumar captained Sunrisers Hyderabad in a few games in Kane Williamson's absence. The speedster has so far taken 164 wickets in his international limited overs cricket career.
