This remarkable achievement marks India's third medal on this thrilling Sunday of sporting action. The dynamic Indian duo delivered a superb performance, finishing the race with a timing of 6 minutes and 50.41 seconds.
While the competition was fierce, it was Hong Kong China that clinched the gold medal with a remarkable timing of 6 minutes and 44.20 seconds. Uzbekistan, displaying great prowess, secured the silver medal with a timing of 6 minutes and 48.11 seconds.
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) also congratulated the bronze medal winning duo. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the apex national Sports Body of India wrote: "Babulal Yadav and Lekh Ram have clinched the Bronze 🥉 in the Men's Coxless Pair #Rowing event at #AsianGames2022, clocking a stellar time of 6:50:41⏲️. Soon after the bronze bagged by Babu Lal Yadav and Lekh Ram, the Indian rowers added their third medal of the day as they secured a second place with a timing of 05:43.01 in the Men's Eight final event in the Asiad. Other than these medals, Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh bagged had bagged a silver medal after narrowly trailing from the eventual gold medal winners China in the men's rowing lightweight double sculls. Their achievement was special as it was the country's first-ever silver medal in this event.
