While Pakistan's left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi being regarded as one of the team's most potent weapon with the new ball in hand, he has been in the news lately for his marriage with Ansha Afridi, the daughter of the former skipper Shahid Afridi. The ceremony was held in Karachi on Tuesday (September 19) in which current Pakistan captain Babar Azam was also present. Following the conclusion of all the rituals, the 23-year-old took to social media to thanks his followers. However, in a screenshot which has now gone viral, he wrote a congratulatory message to his own post.

"Thank you everyone for the warm and lovely wishes. Here is to the love and laughter with the special one," Afridi captioned his wedding photos. However, in a bizarre comment which has gone viral, he posted: "Congratulations bhai".

Talking about Shaheen, he was in great form for Pakistan in Asia Cup 2023. With Naseem Shah having been ruled out of the World Cup with an injury, he will become all the more crucial for the Men in Green who play their first World Cup warm-up game against New Zealand in Hyderabad. They will also meet Australia in their other warm-up fixture at the same venue. The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad will also host Pakistan's World Cup opener on October 6 against the Netherlands.

When India and Pakistan met at the Asia Cup earlier this month, Shaheen gave Jasprit Bumrah a gift for his newborn son. When former Pakistan seamer Wasim Akram pointed out in the commentary box that Shaheen was to get married soon after the continental tournament, ex-India cricketer Ravi Shastri jokingly said that it could be Bumrah's turn to return the favour by the time the next Asia Cup comes.
