Young hockey players from Adyar Hockey Club, Chennai cheered and raised slogans by holding Indian flag in support of team India ahead of India Vs Pakistan Asian Champions Trophy match on Wednesday. The event is set to be held in Chennai and Tamil Nadu’s capital Chennai was previously the host of Men's Hockey Asia Cup in 2007.


Ahead of the match, Samyukta B Bhatt, a student at Adayar Hockey Club said, "India-Pakistan hockey match is happening in Chennai today & we are excited about it...I am sure India is going to win & we are supporting them...It's our game & we will win it. All the very best to the team..."

The 2023 Men's Asian Champions Trophy (known as The Hero Asian Champions Trophy Chennai 2023) is the seventh edition of the Men's Asian Champions Trophy. The men's hockey tournament is organised by the Asian Hockey Federation for the six best Asian national teams including India, Korea, Malaysia, Japan, China and Pakistan. The championship is held from August 3 to 12. 


The Asian Champions Trophy 2023 hockey is being held at Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai and will be conducted till August 12. 


On Tuesday, Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin posed with the captains of participating teams with the Asian Champions trophy in Chennai.
