LeBron James and Anthony Davis racked up 60 points between them to power strong title contenders Los Angeles Lakers to a 114-108 victory over the Denver Nuggets in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals played on Friday and take a sizeable 3-1 lead in the 7-game series.

Lebron James finished the game with 26 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists; Anthony Davis top scored with 34 points to lead the LA Lakers to a stellar win in the best-of-seven series finals in the NBA’s quarantine bubble in Orlando, Florida.

The support cast to James and Davis was strong as well as Kentavious Caldwell-Pope finished with 13 points, while Rajon Rondo (11 points) and Kyle Kuzma (10 points) both reached double-digits off the bench.

Game five of the ongoing 7-match series will be held on Saturday (September 26) in Orlando. The LA Lakers have wrapped up both their previous series in five games.

Canadian forward Jamal Murray led the scoring charts for the Denver Nuggets with 32 points and eight assists, while Jerami Grant ended up with 17 for Denver

Serbia’s Nikola Jokic was guarded well by Lebron James as he checked the Serbian all through the decisive fourth quarter and thwarted most of his field goal attempts. Jokic ended the Game with a disappointing 16 points.

Denver have once again dug a deep hole for themselves in the play-offs as they would need to overturn a 1-3 deficit win the remaining three games of the 7-match series to book a place into the NBA finals.

The Nuggets  were down 3-1 against Utah Jazz in the first round and were in the same position against the Los Angeles Clippers in the West semifinals. They staged resounding comebacks to win both the series and book their place in the Western Conference Finals against LA Lakers.
