In a rather tragic incident, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Nitish Rana's wife Saachi Marwah had to go through an unpleasant experience while she was coming to her home from work in Delhi. Taking to Instagram, she shared her ordeal about two boys stalking her and chasing her car on a bike. Marwah clicked their photos and posted the same on her Instagram story and also mentioned how police complaint was of no use to her. She revealed that the authorities told her that she should let it go since she had already reached home safely and that she should note the number on the vehicle the next time.
"Just a casual day in Delhi, on my way back home from work! These guys randomly started hitting my car! Just no reason, stalked and chased and the police told me on the phone when I complained, ‘so now that you’ve reached home safe, let it go! Next time, number note kar lena’ (note the number next time), aye aye captain, next time, I’ll take their phone numbers also!" she wrote on her Instagram story.
Netizens took to Twitter and Instagram to express their anger over the issue while raising questions at the conduct of the Delhi police.
Saachi Marwah's husband Nitish Rana is currently leading two-time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. So far in the ongoing season, Rana has emerged as one of the best performers for his team, scoring 275 runs in 10 matches.
