Against South Africa, team player Vandana Kataria played an important role in powering the team by scoring three consecutive goals. Vandana also became the first player to score a hat-trick of goals for India in the Olympics. On Sunday, the Indian men's hockey team secured a ticket to the semi-finals of the Olympic Games after 49 years by defeating Great Britain 3-1 in their quarterfinal match.
