KKR vs SRH: Who is Harry Brook, Meet The First Centurion Of IPL 2023

Harry Brook is an England-based player, born and brought up in Keighley Yorkshire. Because of his hard-hitting ability, he was given a chance to lead the England U-19 team for the 2018 World Cup. (PTI)

Brook made headlines after smashing a century at  Chelmsford. Yorkshire were restricted to just 50 runs in their first innings and the team had the likes of Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Garry Balance but the then 19-year-old guy came and hit  124 in the second innings. (PTI)

Brook had a brilliant T20 Blast in 2021, smashing 486 runs in 13 matches at an outstanding average of 69.42 and a strike rate of 149. After a great stint in The Hundred and T20 Blast in 2021, Brook was called in for national duties as England toured West Indies in 2022. (PTI)

Brook created history when he got Rs 13.25 crore at the IPL December 2022 auction. Sunrisers Hyderabad roped him in. The 24-year-old also marked his presence in the cash-rich league by getting an unbeaten century on Friday against Kolkata Knight Riders. (PTI)

After failing in the first three games of IPL 2023, Brook made a terrific comeback and smashed a 55-ball hundred with the help of 12 fours and three sixes. He even hammered the first century of the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. (PTI)
