After being released by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Wanindu Hasaranga was acquired by SRH at his base price of ₹1.5 crore in the mini-auction.
“There’s a swelling in the heel and he has been playing with injections. So he has decided to get this issue sorted out before the World Cup and informed us of his decision to skip the IPL this year,” SLC CEO Ashley de Silva told the Sunday Times Newspaper, as per NewsWireLK.
Hasaranga had a great season for Bangalore last year, where the Lankan all-rounder bagged 26 wickets at an economy rate of 7.54.
SRH is currently squaring off against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024 match 12.
Pat Cummins-led Hyderabad, who posted the highest IPL total ever in their previous match against MI, will aim to replicate that performance against Gujarat.
