Mustafizur, at present, is the Purple Cap holder with seven wickets in three IPL matches at an economy rate of 8.83 and average of 15.14.
For the unversed, Mustafizur Rahman is the sole Bangladeshi player to have attracted a bid during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction.
Maheesh Theekshana, the mystery spinner from Sri Lanka, might be named as Mustafizur's replacement for SRH vs CSK IPL 2024 match on Friday (April 5).
In case of any further delay, Rahman might also miss CSK's IPL 2024 match against KKR, scheduled for April 8.
CSK currently hold the third position on IPL 2024 points table, having won two out of three matches. Both of CSK's wins have been achieved at their home ground, Chepauk.
