The New Zealand captain scored 2101 runs in the IPL at an average of 36.22 and a strike rate of 126.03 while playing for Hyderabad. Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Tuesday released their former captain Mayank Agarwal ahead of the IPL 2023 auction. Agarwal's association with the Punjab Kings ended in IPL 2022 after his poor batting performance. The franchise had retained Mayank for Rs 14 crore ahead of the IPL 2022 auction but Agarwal failed as both captain and batsman.
