IPL 2023: Two Key England Players Unavailable For IPL Playoffs

Ben Stokes, who was bought for Rs 16.25 crore in IPL auction, missed much of the 2023 season due to his knee injury. The all-rounder was often ignored for CSK XI as he wasn't permitted by the ECB to bowl.

Reportedly, Stokes has left CSK camp and is back in England to prepare for The Ashes, which starts from June 16.

Stokes might lead England in a one-off Test against Ireland from June 1.

Lucknow Super Giants' Mark Wood played just five IPL matches before leaving for England to be with his wife for the birth of their second child.

Mark Wood picked 11 wickets from five matches he played in IPL 2023, including a fifer against Delhi Capitals in the very first match.

CSK' Moeen Ali and MI's Chris Jordan are the only England players left in IPL 2023 with the rest of 13 England players returning home after the end of their respective team's IPL 2023 campaign.
