IPL 2021 Auction: Top Five Most Expensive Buys In History Of IPL

1. Chris Morris: South Africa all-rounder Chris Morris has been bought by Rajasthan Royals for a whopping INR 16.25 crore. With this, Morris surpassed team India's star all-rounder to become the most expensive player in IPL history. In 2015, Yuvraj Singh was acquired by Delhi Daredevils for 16 crores. 2. Yuvraj Singh: 2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh is the most expensive Indian player ever sold in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. Yuvraj was bought by Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) for Rs 16 crore. He was then the most expensive buy in IPL history, before the IPL 2021 Auction in Chennai. 3. Pat Cummins: Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins is the second most expensive foreign player ever bought in Indian Premier League (IPL) history. In last year's IPL auction, the incredibly talented speedster was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 15.5 crore. The Aussie has been retained by KKR for IPL 2021.

4. Kyle Jamieson: In the recently concluded IPL 2021 Auction, New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Jamieson has been acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for a whopping Rs 15 crore. Jamieson made his T20 International debut against the West Indies in November 2020. 5. Ben Stokes: In the IPL 2017 auction, England's star all-rounder Ben Stokes was bought by Rising Pune Supergiant for a colossal amount of Rs 14.5 crore.
