KL Rahul's power-packed innings helped India reach a mammoth 336/6 in their allotted 50 overs. Just after scoring his scintillating ton, the right-handed batsman celebrated his knock by covering his ears and closing his eyes, which caught the attention of fans. (Photo Courtesy: @BCCI / Twitter)
After Indian innings, when commentators asked Rahul about his celebration, he revealed that it was to 'shut out noise' and not directed specifically at someone. “It (the celebration) is just to shut out the noise, not to disrespect anyone. There are people out there who try to pull you down, at times you need to neglect them. So that’s just a message to shut out that noise,” Rahul said. (Photo Courtesy: @BCCI / Twitter)
If we look at Rahul's ODI record so far, he has scored 1394 runs in 35 innings at a spectacular average of 48 and has scored 4 tons and 9 fifties. Apart from playing a spectacular 121 run knock, Rahul also stitched important partnerships with Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant to put India on top.
