Lionel Messi's Argentina To Visit Kerala In October 2025. All You Need To Know

Argentina's visit to India has sparked anticipation, with a possibility of a thrilling encounter between Argentina and the Indian Football Team.

The announcement was made by Kerala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman on Facebook, expressing joy as he mentioned, The champion team (Argentina), fully aware of the affection and backing they enjoy from Kerala, enthusiastically accepted our invitation.

Minister V Abdurahiman also confirmed that AFA (Argentina Football Association) has expressed keen interest in forming a collaboration with the Kerala Football Association, providing coaching to 5000 students in the football-loving state.

Originally scheduled for June 2024, Argentina's matches against India underwent a rescheduling to October 2025.

In June last year, Argentina were scheduled to play a friendly match against India in Kerala but the visit had to be called off as the All India Football Federation (AIFF) cited financial constraints as the primary reason.

Argentina's last international friendly in India took place on September 2, 2011, at Kolkata's iconic Salt Lake Stadium, which they won against Venezuela with a 1-0 scoreline.
