Novak Djokovic's third-round encounter against Martin Etcheverry at the Australian Open 2024 will be his 100th match at the Australian Open.
Djokovic, after competing in today's match in the Australian Open, will complete playing in 412 matches across all four Grand Slam tournaments (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, US Open).
Djokovic is yet to attain the record for participating in the most matches played at any individual Slam, but he achieves a unique feat by becoming the first man to participate in 100 matches at each of the prestigious events.
Novak Djokovic requires to participate in 23 more matches at Grand Slam tournaments to surpass icon Roger Federer's long-standing milestone of most matches played (434 matches).
Djokovic, another rival Rafael Nadal has played over 100 matches exclusively at the French Open, also known as Roland Garros. Nadal 's total matches played at the French Open stand at an impressive 115. In comparison, Djokovic has participated in 108 matches at this particular Grand Slam event.
