Africa Cup Of Nations 2023: BIG Update On Mohamed Salah's Leg Injury
During Egypt vs Ghana fixture in the Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday, Salah suffered an injury towards the conclusion of first half, leaving the field while holding the back of his left thigh.

View In AppThe Egyptian Football Association confirmed on Friday that X-rays have verified the severity of the injury that compelled Mohamed Salah to exit early during a 2-2 draw with Ghana.
He (Mohamed Salah) will be unavailable for the team's upcoming two matches in the African Nations against Cape Verde, and subsequently the round of 16 match if the team qualifies, stated the Egyptian Football Association.
Egypt is yet to win a match in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament. The Mo Salah-starrer team, at present, holds the number two spot in their group B behind Cape Verde, who maintains their lead at the number one position.
On Monday, Egypt is set to face Cape Verde, while Mozambique will take on Ghana in the other Group B match.
Out of the 24 men's football national teams, only 16 will progress to the knockout rounds of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
As per Africa Cup of Nations format, only the top two teams from each of the six groups, along with the best four third-placed teams, will advance to the round of 16 (knockout stage). However, the remaining eight teams will conclude their campaigns after the group stage.
