Shafali Verma Becomes First Indian To Score Fifty At Asian Games 

Shafali Verma's 39-ball 67 (4 fours, 5 sixes) powered India women's cricket team to 173/2.

The talented youngster stayed unfazed in front of the Malaysian bowlers, becoming the first Indian player to hit a fifty in the prestigious tournament.

Batting first, India scored 173/2 in 15 overs at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field. The match was interrupted by rain.

Chasing 174 for the win, Malaysia were 1/0 in 0.2 overs before rain interrupted play and the match was eventually called off. India advanced to the semi-finals due to a higher ranking.
