Smith, Stokes involved in nasty on-field collision

Smith’s head banged on the advertising boards just before he hit the ground.

Stokes got back to his feet and immediately signaled for help even as tensed security personnel and cheer leaders looked from the sidelines.

Much to the relief of everyone, Smith got up before the physio rushed to him and gave a thumbs up to signal his well being. The nasty collision resulted in nothing serious.

Later in the evening Smith came out to bat and scored 9 runs before getting bowled off Woakes.

In an attempt to catch the ball both Smith and Stokes collided with each other. The ball fell just over the boundary ropes to result in a six but there were immediate concerns about both the fielders.

But before the Tripathi show there was a moment that had the entire Pune dugout and also a major part of the Eden Gardens on their toes.

In the 19th over of the KKR innings Coulter-Nile heaved an Unadkat slower one towards the deep mid-wicket boundary.
