Shubman Gill, who has been released as a reserve from India's T20 World Cup team, is reportedly nursing a finger niggle.
According to TOI, Shubman Gill sustained ginger niggle during IPL 2024 and continued to carry it throughout the tournament into the T20 World Cup.
As per the report, the medical team of National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru will decide whether Gill requires surgery for the injury or not.
Last week, rumors circulated on social media regarding Shubman Gill being sent back to India due to disciplinary issues.
Speculations were also circulating on social media regarding Shubman Gill and his alleged rift with skipper Rohit Sharma.
However, the rumors were put to an end by Gill himself as he posted a picture with Rohit Sharma and his daughter along with a witty caption.
Meanwhile, India plays their first T20 World 2024 Super 8 match against Afghanistan on Thursday (June 20).
