Youngest overseas bowlers to claim five wickets in India: 1. Paul Adams - 6/55 vs India in 1996 at the age of 19 years and 323 days, 2. Shoaib Bashir - 5/119 against India in 2024, at 20 years and 135 days old. 3. Rashid Khan - 5/82 against Ireland in 2019 at the age of 20 years and 176 days.

England, batting first, posted 353 runs. In reply, India scored 307 runs in their first innings. At the time of this article was filed, England were 76/3 in their second innings, leading India by 122 runs.
