The Mumbai-based batter was just 20 years old when he made his India debut in the T20I format of the game against England during the ICC T20 World Cup 2007 in the Super Eight phase of the tournament. (Getty)

However, Rohit did not get a chance to bat in that game but he impressed the cricketing fraternity by taking a catch of wicketkeeper-batter Vikram Solanki on the core of 43 off 31 balls. The Indian team won that match by 18 runs. (Getty)
