Rishabh Pant equals world record on India's famous win against Australia
Pant still has one more Test to go in this series to further enhance his tally and with the quality of India’s pace attack, it shoudn’t be a surprise if the number reaches close to 30.

View In AppNathan Lyon’s catch – the last wicket of the match – was Pant’s 20th dismissal in the series so far, bettering the record Naren Tamhane(19 dismissals against Pakistan in 1954) and Syed Kirmani (19 dismissals against Pakistan in 1979).
It was India’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who equalled a world record on Sunday.
Pant became the keeper with most dismissals in his debut year in Test cricket with 42 dismissals to his name in 2018.
Apart from these two, there was another unsung hero of India’s history in Melbourne.
Pant equalled the record of former Australian keeper Brad Haddin who had achieved the same in 2008.
Pant also inflicted most dismissals by an Indian keeper in a bilateral series.
Jasprit Bumrah was the star of India’s famous win, helping them regain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (Because of an unassailable 2-1 lead in the series) which also marked their 150th Test win.
India took the final two Australian wickets on Day 5 in just 4.3 overs to win the third Test by 137 runs and take a 2-1 lead in Australia for the first time ever.
Bumrah picked up 9 wickets in the match and Cheteshwar Pujara too played his part with a brilliant century in the first innings.
