PAK vs NZ T20Is: Babar Azam Set To Join Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik In Elite List In T20Is

After a disappointing 2-1 series loss to Afghanistan, a star-studded Pakistan cricket team will be eager to put up a show for their fans at home.

When Pakistan captain Babar Azam will take the field in PAK vs NZ 1st T20I on Friday, he will attain a mega milestone.

Babar Azam, currently tied on 99 T20I appearances with Shahid Afridi, will become only third Pakistani cricketer to play 100 T20Is.

Apart from Afridi and Babar, other Pakistan players with 100 or more T20I appearances are Shoaib Malik (123) and Mohammad Hafeez (119).

Babar Azam has so far scored 3,355 T20 runs in the shortest format of the game with help of two centuries and 30 fifties.

Notably, three months ago, New Zealand had defeated Pakistan 2-1 in an ODI series.
