Jeffrey Vandersay slapped with 1-year ban by Sri Lanka Cricket

View In AppDuring the West Indies tour, Vandersay went for a night out with a few teammates and failed to return on time. His absence created a chaos in the team hotel.
Following the incident, he was sent back home from the middle of the series.
It means he can continue to play but will be suspended from all forms of cricket for a year if there is a breach of contractual obligation again within the next 12 months.
His suspension has also resulted to his exclusion from the forthcoming ICC World Cup 2019
“SLC has also informed the player that during the period of serving the aforesaid suspended sentence, any breach of the contractual obligation shall be severely dealt with together with the suspension,” the board stated in a statement.

In addition, he has also been fined with 20% of his annual contract fee
