India T20I Captain Suryakumar Yadav To Miss Duleep Trophy First Round: Here's The Reason

India's T20 skipper Suryakumar Yadav is set to miss the opening round of the Duleep Trophy starting on September 5.
The star right-handed batter will be unavailable for the first round of the Duleep Trophy due to a hand injury he sustained last week.
Suryakumar was initially slated to represent India C against India D in their first-round match at Anantapur, scheduled from September 5-8. However, he has now reportedly reported to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
Suryakumar featured in Mumbai's final match of the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament in Coimbatore against TNCA XI.
The senior batter was sidelined on the last day due to an injury, preventing him from batting in the contest.
Duleep Trophy presents a big time opportunity for Indian players vying for selection in the upcoming IND vs BAN two-Test series, starting from September 19 onwards in Chennai.
If Suryakumar Yadav doesn't recover in time for IND vs BAN T20I series, potential replacements for the captaincy include Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, and Shubman Gill, who are the leading contenders.
