IND vs IRE: Jasprit Bumrah Breaks Bhuvneshwar Kumar's Record In T20Is

In IND vs IRE T20 World Cup 2024 match, Jasprit Bumrah returned with impressive figures of 2 wickets for 6 runs from his three-over spell. Notably, his impactful performance also delivered a maiden over.

After India chose to bowl first, Jasprit Bumrah took charge of the 5th over during his spell, delivering a maiden over. 

With this maiden over, Jasprit Bumrah has surpassed Bhuvneshwar Kumar's world record for the most maidens bowled by a player from a Test-playing nation in T20 Internationals. 

Jasprit Bumrah has now bowled 11 maiden overs in T20 International cricket.

Overall, Uganda's Frank Nsubuga (15 maiden overs) and Kenya's Shem Ngoche (14 maiden overs) are the only two bowlers who have bowled more maidens than Bumrah in T20Is.
