India batting stalwart Virat Kohli has made the decision to withdraw from the last three IND vs ENG Test matches, a development confirmed by the BCCI.

Since his Test debut against West Indies in June 2011, Virat Kohli has never missed all the matches of any home Test series. This marks the first instance where Kohli is being ruled out of the entire home Test series.
Virat Kohli has accumulated 8848 runs in 191 innings across 113 Test matches, boasting an average of 49.15. In the longest format, the former India skipper has notched up 29 centuries and 30 half-centuries.
As Virat Kohli continues to miss IND vs ENG Test series owing to personal reasons, BCCI declared that they ‘fully respect and support Kohli’s choice”.
IND vs ENG five-match Test series is currently levelled 1-1. The third Test match between India and England is scheduled to begin from February 15 onwards in Rajkot.
