Imran Tahir becomes leading wicket taker for South Africa at World Cup 2019

Imran Tahir went past Allan Donald as South Africa's leading wicket taker at the World Cup.

Donald took 38 wickets in 25 World Cup games for the Proteas; Pollock (31), Morkel (26) and Steyn( 23) round up the top five wicket takers for SA at WC.

Pakistan kept alive their slender hopes of making the semifinals while knocking South Africa out of the ICC World Cup with a 49-run win on Sunday.

Haris Sohail's 59-ball 89 being the highlight of Pakistan’s innings. In reply, South Africa were stopped at 259 for nine in 50 overs.

At the ripe old age of 40, Tahir also the oldest player among all nations to be a leading wicket taker for his country at the WC.
