Shubman Gill's rise to the top comes after a stellar performance in the three-match ODI series against England, where he scored 229 runs, including: 112 runs in the third ODI, 87 runs in the first ODI and 60 runs in the second ODI.

With 796 rating points, this marks the second time Shubman Gill has become the No. 1 ODI batter.
Pakistan's Babar Azam has now slipped to second place with 773 rating points, following a dip in form. This marks the first time in a long while that Babar has fallen from the top spot.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma remains at third place, with 761 rating points.
The top five also includes: Heinrich Klaasen (South Africa) – 756 points, Daryl Mitchell (New Zealand) – 756 points.
