In the Global T20 Canada, however, the duo will have to part ways as Russell was drafted by Vancouver and Sunil Narine became a part of Montreal.
The other big star of the Kolkata Knight Riders – Chris Lynn – was picked up by Edmonton.

Warner was selected in the third round of the draft by the Winnipeg Hawks.
Smith was taken in the second round by the Toronto Nationals, where he'll play alongside West Indian star Darren Sammy and fellow West Indies allrounder Kieron Pollard.
Some of the world’s best players have signed up for the inaugural edition of the league, slated to begin from June 28 this year.
The six teams in the league are The Toronto Nationals, Vancouver Knights, Montreal Tigers, Edmonton Royals and Winnipeg Hawks picked.
Each of the six teams picked up a player each in a round robin players draft taking place on Sunday.
Disgraced Australia stars Steve Smith and David Warner, both banned from top-flight international cricket for 12 months, were the biggest attraction of the draft on Sunday.
Former Australia captain Smith had already been announced as a marquee player for the inaugural edition of the event.
