Darren Lehmann set for a new role with Cricket Australia

He was also a part of two World Cup winning teams as a player and 1 as the coach of Australian cricket team

Darren Lehmann was cleared of any involvement in the ball-tampering episode but he decided to step down from his position on moral grounds.

Recently, Justin Langer was appointed as Darren Lehmann’s replacement by the Australian management.

Lehmann will work alongside Chris Rogers and Ryan Harris in nurturing young talent.

Lehmann featured in 27 Test and 117 ODIs for Australia

But, now the 48-year-old has been contacted by Cricket Australia to coach the national performance squad from 28 May till October.

Following the ball-tampering scandal in South Africa, Cricket Australia banned Steve Smith, David Warner for 12-months while Cameron Bancroft was handed 9-month suspension.
